Habitat experiment: Slugs and sow/pill beetles

Dismantled it today and got rid of it due to the rat situation.

Saw only tons of slugs and sow/pill beetles!  I guess it was a good habitat for them!

Installed log/rock habitat

Collected some old rotting logs from a nearby section of urban forest.

Placed cardboard over the little part of my path, then cedar mulch, then placed the huge log over it, another log piece, and a few big rocks I already had.  Not sure who I'm hoping to draw here but I imagine it may end up a hit with the spiders...  They are my friend they are my friend they are my friend ok they are not my friend but they are my plants' friends.
