Saw a SVB resting on a scallopini leaf! Not going to bother inspecting for eggs, especially since these are all show, no grow.

Fall cucumber plants have been flowering -- females only so far
... They're looking pretty good. And bees are coming around for the buckwheat and Jasper tomato flowers, so, once some female cukes start appearing hopefully they'll get good and pollinated.

Ronde flower #2 opened!!!!
Oooooh, the same ronde by the air conditioner than made a beautiful ronde that I harvested last weekend now has another flower opened. There was a bee inside it this morning, but to be safe I tried to hand pollinate as well, though the males didn't have much pollen left.
There have been a good number of bees (squash bees I think) visiting the squash every day.

Bees galore in the mornings (not bumblebees)
The squashes and zucchinis are abuzz with bees every morning when I do the morning rounds. They aren't bumblebees, they're much smaller. Pretty sure they're bees, not wasps.
I assume they are the reason why the males have no pollen left on them. The pollen tends to have fallen into the bottom of the flower. So I've been having a harder time doing the pollination, using whatever pollen I can get. Hopefully the bees are doing it anyway, but I'm continuing, just in case.
